No, that is not a an authentic potato. It is just a cheap version of Piattos rolled into hollow, french fry-looking snack.

And that is, perhaps, where all my ingenius way of thinking must be coming from.

Junk.

This state of just letting dead skin cells grow on every crevices of my body while I am here at home, consuming lots and lots of school children food at the wee hours of the morning, kind of made me realize how useless I really am.

I’ve been browsing this online account of mine, just cruising through each pages of my contacts when the truth hit me that I am not actually doing any good.

Most of them are earning big money now, and it’s because they’re the top game back when we were at college. And to think that I used to believe that I can gain a good spot of some money-making position at an office somewhere in the business districts, I really can’t see any of what I’ve said before at this moment.

I am just a pile of inconsiderate fool who’s just after his own wellness.

I need to at least prove something. I can’t stay like this forever! Well of course, perhaps if I am a tycoon’s sole son then it wouldn’t be any harder.

I have to push this brain into thinking about my responsibilities as a money-earning infidel.

I need new clothes and I need some kind of new technology to tinker with other than this überly used laptop of my sister.

Well, I hope tomorrow shines even brighter than before.

I need to earn, that’s what all this bullcrap is all about.

Friday night was the night of fun, games, and empatso. And of course drunken and lethargic laughter with the brood of bloggers.

Yes, it was the San Miguel Oktoberfest celebration held at TasteAsia last Friday night.

Since I was stuck here at home, I decided to go early. I got the info from a certain Pedro that there would be a free gift pack for the first 120 early birds.

And there I was, at the registration table greeted by an english-speaking lady whom I just smiled at. Registration blah blah blah, and then I proceeded to find a table as I was ushered by the curly-haired lady.

I wonder why TasteAsia is such a favorite venue for events like these? It’s been the third time since I’ve been here at TasteAsia, and of course each of the event have their own intensity and enjoyment.

This event however, was at a different level since alcohol was involved and I had to make use of the free booze flowing around.

As usual, food was great. thanks so-so mucho to TasteAsia and SM Hypermarket for letting us have a good time and get drunk. Perhaps most of the people got drunk, but not me.

I got to taste this new beer that’s available only this Oktoberfest, and will mysteriously vanish after the celebration.

New Beer with a puny 3.6% Alcohol Content

Thanks to Misteryosa for the photo, relayed by Wawsabaw.

That beer tastes good and looks elegant as well, but with only 3.6% alcohol content that won’t get anyone looking good even after you’ve drunk a lot. A good replacement for the veteran Pale Pilsen bottle.

The event was fired up with contests and raffles to which I was again unlucky enough to have won none of it. Not even a single bag of goodie. Well at least my stomach is full, that’s for sure.

I could’ve lost if I placed a bet on Wawsabaw in that first drinking contest. He was the first one to fold. Sheesh, disappointing for someone who’s got that kind of body. Congratulations to Tanggera for owning the contest.

I met up with the other bloggers, and so the eating fiesta began and TasteAsia did what it was built for: Pumping up my blood pressure and filling up my empty stomach.

And look what we have here, Moonstar88 played with classic and hot hits as what they were famous of before and still rocks as hot as the yesteryears with their new vocalist.

And so the night continued on and on and on until they ran out of beer because they underestimated the drinking power of people like me. So much for being destroyed.

And so that was the enjoyable Oktoberfest Party for Bloggers.

I’d appreciate much if some angel gifted me with a digital camera or something that could take good quality pictures so as that I am not some scavenger of photos online.

And look, I met an alien! And it’s a girl!

Kudos to gurlalien for winning the beer-drinking contest with a straw. And thanks a lot for the photo too and nice to meet you!

gurlalien and some faggot, gayshit wannabe drunkard from the Oktoberfest event

You can visit the photos from gurlalien’s Multiply page.

And of course thanks a munchy bunch to Ms. Aileen Apolo for relaying the information about this event.

I hope there’s more of this kind of event this coming October so I better watch out and get drunk.

Yes, of course I was there. I was one of those guys who took away one of the awards for best blah blah something.

Oh fuck. I took something alright, but it’s not an award. I took the bouquet of roses and sunflowers from one of the tables of the venue. And the brochure of course.

I was never lucky in any of these raffle-shmaffle or anything.

It’s great for my two friends though, they one an awesome and limited(?) edition Belo Bag! Yes, that coveted Belo Bag was, uhm, uhh, bagged by my two friends. Lucky bastards. I want that bag for me but what the hell, I never got it.

I got to snoop on the bag and yes, it does have that brand new bag scent, fresh out of plastic and into these bozos’ hands.

As far as I can remember, the bag has an Obagi sun block, a fan, yeah like you know Belo doesn’t want you sweating like a fried chicken and all, and a magazine that showcases the wonders of medical magic. There’s couple of pictures of enhanced breast in the magazine that partially blurred the nipple, which is by the way a less of a killjoy. I’d still go for FHM though.

And there’s this mug, and some other stuff that I failed to dig into. Oh yeah, the hand sanitizer that you can use to simulate Belo’s hands in case you want to feel yourself or some fanatic from their clinics. Because only Belo touches their skin, and who touches yours?

That N92(?) 8GB Edition cellphone was the only thing that kept me from walking away from the awards, haha. What a fucken bastard I truly am. Unfortunately, some lucky lady stole it from me. She doesn’t deserve it. She looks like she earns an amount equal to a thousand of those celphone. I could’ve given a better reaction than what she gave when she won. I hope she’s happy though, because she made me unhappy.

And what about the awards of course? It was fantastic. The venue was great (1esplanade), and the presentation of everything was great as well.

The PBA08 is of course the second major blogging event that I have been crashing into, and luckily security wasn’t that tight that I got through with no deodorant of some sort. Not even tawas.

Unfortunately, most of the bloggers weren’t there for us to see them take the awards.

Congratulations to the winners of the prestigious blog awards for their respective nominations.

Just so you’ll know, we cheered for Kwentong Barbero when we saw his name pop-up on the screen.

The PBA08 was fantastic. Food and booze was great. The hosts looked entirely gorgeous and of course classy. And the food was great, it was, afterall one of the greatest thing about consortiums like these. Free alcohol and free food. Nevermind all the judgmental eyes on me everytime I’ve been on the serving area. It’s free, so better load up us much as you can.

You can’t even tell that they’re bloggers, it’s like they’re bloggers, but not really since they don’t look like regular bloggers, but you can’t really tell, since it’s flashy and there are lots of lights in the room…and…and well, I don’t know most of them.

But now I do. And Congratulations to all of them. You can see them here, those blogging geniuses.

Congratulations to the winner of the Best Personal Blog — Aethist.net and as the host told us, we have to thank God for that award.

It’s kind of sad for me, because as a person with brains to remember stuff, I can’t really recall much of the guys who won for the PBA08, and for what category. Thanks to Prekprek for his link on the list of winners. Oh and btw, he’s one of those who got the Belo Bag. Smart bastard, that Prekprek guy.

I should’ve at least jotted down the winners for each category and visit them once in a while.

I had fun. The other bozo was FerBert De Likado and Sheng Lotaco, the late one who ran over the field of itchy plants just because taxi drivers were ruled by security guards at MoA, and are prohibited to provide service outside the taxi bay.

Well congratulations to the winners and I hope you’ll ace the awards again next year, which I will once again crash for the benefit of freebies, and the possibility of winning in the raffles.

This was supposed to be a photo blog but where the hell is the photo is none of your concern. I really need a camera.

Anyway, all these goodies range from biscuits to cup noodles, and even cooked meat. Yes, cooked meat packed in a plastic and then placed in a box, then brought by them here from some bajillion miles away from home.

And who brought it? My aunt and uncle-in-laws. If there is such a term. They’re from my brother-in-law’s parents and it’s probable if we call them auntie and uncle instead of mom and dad.

So here we are again, with the refrigerator full of fantastic surprises. It’s going to be meet for weeks and some old, heated, and re-heated dish for the following nights to come.

Good luck to my blood pressure.

If you have no exercise routine in the morning, you can certainly start with this one. It’s very helpful especially in the cardiorespiratory system. Much more helpful than your digestive system.

Go ahead. Throw your tae-bo, hiphop abs, and whatever exercise video you keep in your DVD racks. This here is the revolutionary plan for improving your fat lifestyle.

This sucks. I don’t have the drive to update this resumé of mine. I’ve been stuck here in the house for too long. I need some cash on my hands right now. It’s a necessity. I am dried up.

Again all my drive to strive for my own ass is not within me. I’ve been stuck in the house for too long that I’m forgetting how to wake up early in the morning.

Everyday I wake up at around 1:30 PM. Just past lunch.

What’s worse about this situation of mine is that I am too scared to do anything for my own sake. It’s back to square one. Again. Processes for application. Interviews. And all those shit load of employment-related stuff.

Pretty soon I am going to be fed up with this life of mine. And I hope it’s going to be tomorrow.

I need a job. Like tomorrow or right now.

Shit this fuck. I need money. I need a job. What a bad time to lose it. and it’s just at the start of the contribution.

The contribution is running and I have been a lazy boy. I have to make up for what I’ve missed.

Ugh. What a life.

Okay, so the WordCamp post wouldn’t be complete if there wouldn’t be at least one photo of Mr. Matt Mullenweg here in this blog. Fortunately, I’ve managed to smuggle TWO photos with me in it.

What to do if some celebrity had his back on you? Take a photo with you having an orgasm or something like a stomach problem. I don’t know, it’s going to be your photo so you do the orgasm.

Okay, now he’s surprised why this hobo is doing some kind of gang sign.

He’s probably like, “Hey, stop that, you could hit someone with that imaginary laser gun of yours.”

Man, those are really big nostrils don’t you think? You could see my brain from that angle. And that fur! Oh my, I’m pretty sure I’m going to get imprisoned by the WWF for murdering rare lemurs for that fur of mine.

Anyway, Matt is such a good-looking man and it takes a good-looking man to distinguish another.

And there we go, WordCamp 2008 Photos with Matt Mullenweg and his pet monkey.

You know that Mr. Wordpress at the start of each new template from WordPress? That actually is a real person and I met him and took his photo. With me on it. And he’s a good guy. Lot’s of smile, with no air, whatsoever.

And oh lucky me, he commented on this blog. Yeah, bragging rights. He said that it was a comment and I either get to keep it, or delete it.

Yes yes yes, the prestigious WordCamp event was finally over, the wait was over (of course) and it was cool. Well it’s a success of course, and I got to eat free food and get some freebies and that WordCamp bag. Haha, the typical freeloader is teh me.

But enough about that shit, I just want to thank the Mindanao Bloggers for bringing forth such a fantastic event in the blogging community.

And as always, I arrived late, just in time to wonder what was Ms. Gail VIllanueva talking about. And it was her Wordpress Theme with CSS seminar that I stumbled upon. It was cool, the typical PHP editing which was destroyed by the blurry projection of her visual aids. Nonetheless, her knowledge was quite broad about that CSS thingy and all other Do’s and Dont’ts on theme editing. It’s cool yo.

The other talk was with Mr. Danilo Arao who I thought was a lawyer, but it turned out he’s a very good journalist/blogger. He gave a lot of funny remarks on his talks about blogging AND journalism (which he stressed out as AND and not VS), about people involved and some other stuff that he knows a lot about. Great talk by Mr. Danny Arao.

I’m looking for the download of his presentation though, it’s somewhere here on the net.

And of course Mr. Matt Mullenweg himself discussed the future of WordPress, some web stats and a lot of numbers too, and of course the very famous question and answer portion which this one dude totally made use of.

Especially that WordPress 2.7, it somehow utilizes Ajax on the Dashboard that gives you that drag-and-drop capability for the dashboard elements. Pretty amazing. And cool. And amazing and cool. Exactly what you’d expect from the brilliant minds of WordPress people.

And since I’m running out of words to say, I just want to end this blog with a very big smile and a two thumbs up for the event. It’s been a great day. Hoping for another one next year.

<insert photos here. it’s somewhere in the camera of a dude from this site>

And I took some other related posts from the webmistress, Dré which she got from Shari:
